What is Unique About Ceramic Pro ION?

Most ceramic car coatings are known for their ability to provide a small layer of protection against bird droppings, water spots, and minor scratches. They provide a protective layer on clear coatings and other materials.

Some of the advanced coatings – like Ceramic Pro 9H contains silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, and other carrier solvents, which can be stacked together for extended protection on the paint job against tree sap and other contaminants.

These advanced protective coating products are enhanced with paint correction – and are far superior to traditional waxes. However, they have their limitations.

A Teflon coating, a powder coating, ceramic spray coating, ceramic paint coating, or the gimmick and unproven graphene coating eventually wears thin – which reduces hydrophobic properties, shine, and gloss

An ION coating for cars is completely different. It uses some similar ingredients that high-quality ceramic coatings use.

But due to advanced manufacturing techniques, and a unique chemical bonding process, ION coatings last longer, provide a thicker hydrophobic layer, better protection against extreme heat, and long-lasting protection.

ION is a two-component system that utilizes ION Exchange Technology to fuse multiple coating layers into a single, durable, and robust protected surface.

How Does Ceramic Pro ION Technology Work

ION Exchange is a sophisticated chemical process that allows for a significant increase in the density of a substance over an extended period of time.\

ION Exchange Technology has been used in different industries – such as water purification, performance lubricants for mechanical components, and ultra-hard screens for modern smartphones.

Scientists at Ceramic Pro discovered a way to integrate this proven technology into modern nanoceramic coatings – without significantly impacting the application process. In fact, the entire process from start to finish is quicker, more efficient, and produces exceptional abrasion or scratch resistance.

The installation of Ceramic Pro ION is a two-step process. It begins with the application of Ceramic Pro ION Base. This initial layer of coating forms a permanent bond with Automotive Paint. Once it cures, ION Top Coat is applied to the base.

At this point, the Top Coat replaces the smaller IONs in the base coat with larger IONs, reducing the free space between molecules and further strengthening the chemical bond to the automotive paint.

It also creates a much thicker, harder, deeper, and dense single layer vs. the traditional stack of independent layers.

There are two independent coatings that make up the ION ceramic coating system. Both need to be applied during the same installation process for the coating to work as intended.

ION Base Coat

Installed and used the same as Ceramic Pro 9H
It can be layered for premium ceramic coating packages and superior protection.
Provides a solid primary layer of coating that fills microscopic imperfections found in automotive clear coats.

ION Top Coat

Installed after applying Ceramic Pro ION Base
Provides additional strength to ION Base Coat
This is the coating that helps the finished package generate Superior Hydrophobic Properties and Enhanced Chemical and Abrasive Resistance.
